The Eivissa Jazz International Festival is one of the most prominent live music events in the Balearic Islands, and a date marked in red on the calendar for both Spanish and international fans of the genre that Nina Simone defined as the classical music of African Americans. Since 1987, each edition has brought together world-renowned artists and emerging local talent, creating a unique platform for experimentation and fusion of styles within the infinite universe of jazz. Throughout its history, the festival has witnessed memorable performances (from Avishai Cohen to Paquito D’Rivera) on iconic stages like the Baluard de Santa Llúcia, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Additionally, the Eivissa Jazz Experience initiative stands out for its innovative format, where musicians who have previously performed at the festival collaborate on original compositions. An ephemeral moment of beauty that is repeated every year on the Renaissence walls of Dalt Vila.
